About TPL (Tirpude’s Premier League)
TPL UNITED – Uniting Talent, Inspiring Leaders
“Different Programs, One Battleground”
A flagship initiative of Tirpude’s Premier League (TPL) that unites students from B.Com, B.Sc. Data Science, B.Sc. Finance, B.A. Psychology, and B.A. Economics, creating opportunities to build leadership, teamwork, communication, and lifelong connections beyond the classroom.
Tirpude’s Premier League (TPL) is an intracollege event organized exclusively for undergraduate students. The event is designed to promote teamwork, leadership, collaboration, sportsmanship, and cultural engagement among students through a variety of sports and cultural activities conducted throughout the academic year.
The primary objective of TPL is to help students understand the importance of working in teams while providing them with opportunities to interact with students from different undergraduate programs. By bringing together students from diverse academic backgrounds, TPL encourages them to develop communication skills, build strong interpersonal relationships, and learn to work effectively with different groups of people.
The event is managed through a well-structured leadership hierarchy consisting of:
- Overlords: A team of six student leaders responsible for monitoring and managing the entire TPL event under the guidance of faculty members.
- Warlords: Students who assist in the smooth planning and execution of various activities and events.
- Mentors: Student leaders who guide and motivate their respective teams throughout the competition.
- Team Members: Students from different UG programs who actively participate in various cultural and sports events.
Thus, the core structure of TPL consists of Overlords → Warlords → Mentors → Teams of Students.
The selection of the entire core team is carried out through an interview process. This process helps identify students with leadership potential, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
One of the most unique features of TPL is the Auction Process. During the auction, mentors are provided with a virtual budget that they can use to bid for players and build their teams. This activity introduces students to concepts such as strategic planning, decision-making, resource management, budgeting, and team selection.
Each team is assigned a unique identity and competes throughout the TPL season in various sports and cultural events. The points earned in these activities determine the overall performance of the teams.
At the end of the season, the team that demonstrates the best overall performance is declared the winner. However, beyond the competition, TPL aims to create an environment that nurtures leadership, teamwork, discipline, creativity, and lifelong friendships among students.
